I am a marathon runner and triathlete who has completed 13 marathons and three Ironman triathlons, many to raise money for various charities. I never thought I'd run a marathon, and more so, I never thought I'd ever get over my fear of water, but I did! I believe in dreams and miracles and making things happen. The picture doesn't quite capture the full effect of my having charged into the finish after a negative marathon split, which I still can't believe I did. The photographer missed my jump into the air, but caught my landing ... and more importantly, my R-O-A-R !!
