Now that I've started training again (yes, running, swimming AND cycling, but not for long periods), I've been hungry all the time. What better way to please a hungry tummy than to make a birthday supper for my good friend DC?

On the evening's menu ...

Appetizers:

Cream of cauliflower (garnish is green onion and red pepper slivers)



Tomato & Bocconcini Salad with fresh basil
Home-made freshly-baked bread, hot from the oven (sorry no pic of that!)



Main course:

Braised beef with fine herbs, potatoes and carrots
Sautéed zucchini with garlic

Here's a very happy Birthday Boy!


Dessert:

Cashews and Nigerian dates (fresh off the stick!)
Lady Grey tea

Wonderful evening to celebrate a wonderful friend! Besides, DC is always cooking up scrumptious gourmet meals for me ... time to spoil him back :-)
